Atlantico Reserva Ron Anejado Solera (a blend of molasses and cane based rums, aged separately for 2 to 3 yrs, then blended together and aged for 2 more yrs, then placed in a Solera aging system for up to 15 yrs) – Dominican Republic
Nose: cajeta, cookie dough, light toasted oak, vanilla
Palate: vanilla, baking spices, oak wood, dried apricot, butterscotch
Distilled from: a blend of molasses based rums and cane juice rums

Ron Matusalem Gran Reserva Solera 15 (Solera aged to an average of 15 years) – Dominican Republic
Nose: honeyed walnuts, banana, nutmeg
Palate: initially mellow flavors of butterscotch, plantain and marzipan, slowly intensifying to spicy oak, Mexican vanilla and rum butter

Ron Zacapa Centenario Solera Gran Reserva (aged from 6 to 23 years) – Guatemala
Nose: banana, charred wood, dried fruit
Palate: fig, notes of butterscotch, espresso, light brown sugar
Distilled from: first pressing of sugar cane juice, or “virgin sugar cane honey”

Wrapper: Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro

Medium smoke; nice burn, white to light grey ash, lots of smoke. Flavors of sweet smoky paprika, espresso, walnuts, shiitake mushroom, smoked apple wood

Nose: molasses, vanilla extract, cola
Palate: molasses, vanilla, caramel, a little butterscotch and a hint of clove. Very smooth finish

Appleton Estate 12 Year Aged Rum (aged 12 yrs) – Jamaica
(aged in used Jack Daniels whiskey barrels)
Nose: dark brown sugar, nutmeg, orange peel, vanilla, ripe banana
Palate: lightly burnt brown sugar creamed with butter, nutmeg, hint of coconut and a little fiery
Distilled from: fermented molasses

Sea Wynde Aged Pot Still Rum – blended rums from Jamaica & Guyana
Nose: initially very strong alcohol, but after letting open up for a minute reveals notes of nuts, candied orange peel, maple, light vanilla, a little coffee.
Palate: very dry with initial peppery sweet burn, 1 ice cube mellows it out considerably to reveal favors of oak wood, raisin, nougat and white pepper.
